The Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 4.98 billion in August 2022. Compared to August 2021 (EUR 4.59 billion), this represents a plus of 8.6%. The most actively traded Austrian stocks were Erste Group Bank AG with EUR 998 million, ahead of Verbund AG with EUR 632 million and OMV AG with EUR 543 million.
Year-to-date, the equity turnover amounted to EUR 52.71 billion. This is an increase of 7.4% over the same period last year (Jan-Aug 2021: EUR 49.08 billion).
