The Vienna Stock Exchange looks back on a lively trading activity in 2018. In December, the equity trading volume increased by 5.1% year-on-year (December 2017: EUR 5.18 billion; December 2018: EUR 5.45 billion). In 2018, the total trading volume increased by 5.6% to EUR 70.49 billion year on year (Jan-Dec 2017: EUR 66.77 billion). The strongest trading day of the year – with over one billion trading volumes – was 16 March 2018.
