Vienna Stock Exchange strongly positioned as trading system service provider for 5 exchanges and 169 trading firms

(Vienna) As trading system service provider for five stock exchanges in the region, the Vienna Stock Exchange has been hosting its yearly partner exchange conference “PeXcon” in Vienna. 22 stock exchange experts from five countries met in Vienna on 26 and 27 September 2016 for a two day know-how exchange. The program features update sessions on all technical and regulatory innovations coming up in 2017. Representatives from the partner exchanges use the interactive format to also present novelties on their respective markets.

Ludwig Nießen, COO & CTO of Wiener Börse AG, says: “High customer orientation and an intensive know how exchange are our focus for the partner exchange conference. We have been running an internationally used trading system since November 1999, with almost 3.200 stock market traders from across Europe being connected to the trading system services we offer. Over the past six years we tailored additional flexible and cost-effective services to fit the requirements of the stock exchanges in our region.”

Ivana Gazic, CEO of Zagreb Stock Exchange comments: “Ljubljana Stock Exchange has been using the trading system services offered by the Vienna Stock Exchange since 2010. At Zagreb Stock Exchange, we are looking forward to our go-live mid-next year. An international trading system and the respective services for trading members are a strong asset for the presentation of our exchanges to international investors. Our investor base has become increasingly diverse over the past years and we continue to strive to attract international players to our region.”
