Every elventh job in Austria is linked to a listed company.

The Industriewissenschaftliche Institut (IWI)** published a study entitled "Börsennotierte Unternehmen – Volkswirtschaftliche Effekte und Blitzbefragung 2017"*, which ascertained the factors of economic influence that can be traced back to Austria’s domestic listed companies. The study showed that during the period under observation, 400,100 jobs were linked to listed companies. The economic leverage of these companies is therefore enormous and each employment relationship at a listed company engenders 2.71 jobs in Austria. Therefore, every elventh post in the domestic economy is either directly or indirectly linked, or induced by listed companies (8.91% of employment relationships).
