ABN AMRO is a Dutch bank serving private, corporate and retail clients, offering a wide range of financial products and solutions. Our focus is on North-West Europe, with offices in 13 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the bank serves over 5 million customers globally and employs approximately 20,000 staff. Under the motto ‘A personal bank in the digital age’, it is committed to playing an important role in society. The digital age helps us to bring banking ever closer to our customers and their needs. ABN AMRO has a rich history stretching back more than 300 years, characterised by takeovers and mergers. The bank as we know it today was formed in 2010 through a merger with Fortis Bank Nederland, after Fortis, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Banco Santander had acquired ABN AMRO in 2007 and split the bank into various divisions.
