In August 2026, the Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 7.10 billion. This represents an increase of +29.7% compared to the same month of the previous year (EUR 5.48 billion). Year-to-date equity turnover in Vienna – generated by domestic and international trading members – amounted to EUR 69.52 billion. Compared to the same period last year, this is a plus of 46.8% (January-August 2025: EUR 47.35 billion).
The most actively traded Austrian stocks in the past month were Erste Group Bank AG with EUR 1.31 billion, followed by AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG with EUR 815 million and OMV AG with EUR 721 million.
