On the occasion of International Women's Day 2024, the Vienna Stock Exchange hosted the "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" event for the fifth time on 8 March 2024. This initiative gathers around 120 stock exchanges worldwide to raise awareness of women's economic participation and equality.

The event began with a welcome address by Andrea Herrmann, CFO of the Vienna Stock Exchange, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of "Women and Financial Education". The participants in the discussion were Bettina Fuhrmann (Director of the Institute for Business Education), Lena Gugenberger (Head of Operations, Three Coins GmbH) and Susanne Spangl (Centre for Entrepreneurship Education & Value-based Business Didactics, University for Teacher Education Vienna/Krems), moderated by Monika Kovarova-Simecek (Head of the Digital Business Communications (MA) programme, FH St. Pölten).
