Wiener Börse Preis 2021

(Vienna) The presentation of the Vienna Stock Exchange Award – the most important honoring of the Austrian capital market – takes place again in 2021 in an exclusive setting. Year after year, the award winners are independently evaluated by expert juries of the ÖVFA (ATX, Mid Cap and Corporate Bond Award), financial journalists coordinated by APA-Finance (Journalist Award) and the VÖNIX Advisory Board (Sustainability Award). The winners receive their Awards, staggered according to the five categories, at the Vienna Stock Exchange.

Wienerberger AG was able to win the prime category, the ATX award, due to its good performance in the extraordinary Covid-year 2020, very good financial reporting and ongoing investor relations activities. According to the ÖVFA jury, a seamless flow of information, the commitment of the Management Board to investor relations, analysts and investors, a sustainable focus on ESG and a focus on digitalization contributed to the decision. In addition, Wienerberger AG is also awarded the Corporate Bond Award.

"It is a great pleasure for Wienerberger to receive the Vienna Stock Exchange Award – to be presented with the prize in even two categories is a special honor! As a stock corporation that has been listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange for over 150 years and with whose history we are closely associated, we feel encouraged in our work. The Awards show that we are on the right track with our sustainable solutions. We owe this success to the great commitment of our approximately 17,000 colleagues! We will continue to consistently pursue our strategy and our value-creating growth course in the coming years with a focus on innovation and digitalization. With this contribution, we are looking positively to the future," says Wienerberger CEO Heimo Scheuch.

"Since the jury is made up of key market participants, they know exactly who is doing a good job in day-to-day capital market business. The Awards are intended to highlight exceptional achievements by listed companies in capital market communications. We warmly congratulate all Award winners," says Friedrich Mostböck, President of the ÖVFA.

In the Sustainability Category, Agrana-Beteiligungs AG, BKS Bank AG and Palfinger AG receive the Vienna Stock Exchange Award in 2021. They are part of the VÖNIX universe and are therefore evaluated for the Sustainability Award; the other categories (ATX, Mid Cap, Corporate Bond, Journalists) only consider ATX and prime market instruments. All three companies receive this Award for the first time, based on the VÖNIX rating 2020/2021.

AMAG Austria Metall AG wins a Mid Cap Award for the fourth time and for the first time takes first place. The jury's reasoning: The company achieved top scores in the criteria of financial reporting and investor relations. Likewise, in the areas of strategy and corporate governance, AMAG Austria Metall AG ranked at the top in the opinion of the jury.

The Journalist Award goes to Erste Group Bank AG for the second year in a row. The jury of APA-Finance praises the sovereign, professional, fast as well as open communication. Erste Group Bank AG scores with good accessibility, high transparency, professional documentation and is also available for background discussions.
