French investment firm Exane joins Wiener Börse as a new trading member

(Vienna) The French investment firm, Exane S.A., joined Wiener Börse AG a new trading member as of today.  Exane S.A. is the fifth international member to be linked as a direct trading member to Wiener Börse this year. This makes the number of investment firms on Wiener Börse 72 of which 32 are foreign investment banks.

The financial marketplace of Vienna is increasingly shifting to the center of attention of international investors. Not only has the number of international investment firms admitted as direct trading members to Wiener Börse risen steeply, but the share of trading volume generated by these members has more than doubled from 23.2% in 2003 to currently around 50%.

Exane S.A., which is part of the Exane Group founded 15 years ago, has its headquarters in Paris and employs worldwide some 750 persons at eight branch offices in Europe, the US and Asia. The Exane Group is one of the leading independent investment firms in Europe; its core business is stock trading, derivatives trading and asset management.
