The 3rd annual ETF & Indexing Investments Conference from 21-23 September 2009, organised by Terrapinn, gathered leading retail investors to show how some of the greatest global opportunities can be accessed through ETFs. Pension fund managers, independent financial advisers, wealth managers, portfolio managers and chief investment officers got together in to find new ways to optimise their investment prospects and identify the hottest sectors.
ETFs are an indexing universe that is expanding rapidly, but with this growth also entails more concerns on the part of investors, particularly in relation to the new and more complex products. The conference helped to educate and inform investors on many of these issues, and ultimately helped to improve their investment decision-making skills. Over 50 speakers from world leading investors, ETF issuers and index providers assembled to provide the more than 200 attendees with valuable insights into how they can seize growth opportunities, and jump on the ETF bandwagon. The range covered information on how to enhance one’s portfolio using ETFs to how to access fixed income or commodities through ETFs.
The Vienna Stock Exchange used the permanent and multi-channel marketing solutions provided at this conference to improve its positioning and brand awareness. The numerous "face to face" meetings with the target audience, the indices of the CEE Stock Exchange Group and its stock exchanges were presented as a listing platform for ETFs and structured products, thus greatly promoting these products. A host of leading experts and analysts addressed many of the current challenges and opportunities of the ETF business.
