In January 2019, the Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 5.39 billion. Compared to the previous month, share turnover remains stable (December 2018: EUR 5.45 billion). The most actively traded stocks in the first month of 2019 were Erste Group Bank AG, voestalpine AG and OMV AG.
The Austrian leading index ATX was up 8.73% (2,985.45 points on 31 January 2019) compared to year-end 2018 (2,745.78 points).
