October was marked by active trading on the Vienna Stock Exchange, with equity turnover reaching EUR 5.96 billion, representing a strong plus of 41.7% compared to the previous year (October 2024: EUR 4.20 billion). Since the beginning of the year, Austrian and international trading members have generated an equity trading volume of EUR 58.90 billion. Compared to the same period last year, this is an increase of 6.7% (January-October 2024: EUR 55.21 billion).
The most actively traded Austrian stocks in October were:
- Erste Group Bank AG: EUR 1.14 billion
- BAWAG Group AG: EUR 722 million
- OMV AG: EUR 683 million
