A strong summer month of August concluded with an equity turnover of EUR 5.48 billion on the Vienna Stock Exchange. Since the beginning of the year, Austrian and international trading members have generated a trading volume of EUR 47.35 billion. This represents an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year (January-August 2024: EUR 42.94 billion).
The most actively traded Austrian stocks in July were:
- Erste Group Bank AG with EUR 1.3 billion ahead of
- OMV AG with EUR 655 million and
- BAWAG Group AG with EUR 642 million
