In July 2026, the Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 9.03 billion. This represents a significant increase of +83% compared to July of the previous year (EUR 4.94 billion) and is +62% higher than the trading volume recorded in the next best July of the past 15 years (2021).
Year-to-date equity turnover in Vienna – generated by our domestic and international trading members – amounted to EUR 62.42 billion. Compared to the same period last year, this is a plus of 49.1% (January-July 2025: EUR 41.87 billion)
The most actively traded Austrian stocks in the past month were Erste Group Bank AG with EUR 1.61 billion, followed by AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG with EUR 1.06 billion and BAWAG Group AG with EUR 986 million.
