The turnover statistics for trading in domestic and international equities showed an upward trend last month. In the month of May 2022, the Vienna Stock Exchange recorded an equity trading volume of EUR 6.81 billion. Compared to May 2021 (EUR 6.02 billion), this represents a significant plus of 13.1%.
Year-to-date equity turnover amounted to EUR 36.65 billion, thus again surpassing the strong level of the previous year (Jan-May 2021: EUR 32.76 billion) with an increase of 11.9%.
