On the occasion of International Women's Day 2026, the Vienna Stock Exchange hosted the "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" event for the seventh time on 9 March 2026. This initiative gathers around 120 stock exchanges worldwide to raise awareness of women's economic participation and equality.

After a welcome address by Andrea Herrmann, CFO of the Vienna Stock Exchange the programme centred on a discussion with Birgit Fenderl about women's careers in male-dominated fields, career changes and the place on the podium.
