Vienna Stock Exchange and Missing Link Launch New Podcast: "Safe! Stories About Investing"

Wiener Börse und Missing Link starten neuen Podcast: Safe! Stories übers Investieren

(Vienna) The Vienna Stock Exchange is launching a new podcast format in collaboration with the Austrian podcast network Missing Link: "Safe! Stories About Investing" sparks a conversation that is rarely held publicly in Austria: How do people find their way into investing? In roughly 30-minute episodes, guest speakers from media, music, sports, or business openly share their personal experiences with investing. The first episodes feature para-swimmer Andreas Onea (ORF), influencer Bianca-Olivia (Austrian Material Girl), and journalist Elisabeth Oberndorfer (smart casual). Hosted by Anna-Lisa Bier and Alexander Wastl, episodes are released every two weeks on Thursdays across all major podcast platforms.

"Real stories instead of jargon, emotion instead of lecturing, courage instead of myths: As the name Safe! suggests, we provides a secure space where real stories can be shared – including all the doubts, 'aha' moments, and fails that come with investing. When people talk openly about their financial ups and downs, it creates an approach that breaks down barriers," says Stefan Lassnig, who does modern journalism with the Missing Link team and produces the podcast on behalf of the Vienna Stock Exchange.

"The guests' personal experiences show that getting started is often easier, sometimes surprising, and always educational. We embed financial education where young people shape their lives: in everyday life, on their smartphones, in the little moments in between. Investing is not a privilege, but a tool for empowerment," says Julia Resch, Head of Communications and Marketing at Wiener Börse AG.

The new podcast is part of the initiative "Beteilig Dich", which motivates young people to take an active and self-determined approach to their financial future. Although more and more Austrians own securities, there is still a lack of a state-organized pension system that structurally integrates the capital market unlike in many other European countries. This makes individual financial planning all the more important. With "Beteilig dich" and the new podcast, the Vienna Stock Exchange provides financial education that informs, motivates, and promotes broad participation in the stock market.
