With Inter Media and Communication SpA, a direct subsidiary of FC Internazionale Milano, another new Italian corporate bond started trading on the Vienna Stock Exchange today. The 4.875% corporate bond has a total issuing volume of EUR 300 million and a maturity of five years. The issue with a denomination of EUR 100.000 was privately placed.
2017 has been yet another record year for corporate bonds on the Vienna Stock Exchange. To date, 83 corporate bonds with a record volume of EUR 14.1 billion, were newly added to trading on the exchange. These include 19 corporate bonds of domestic issuers (EUR 2.65 billion) and 64 corporate bonds of foreign issuers (EUR 11.54 billion). Italian corporates are among the most frequent bond issuers on VSE.
Vienna Stock Exchange is on track to become a major listing venue for bonds in Europe. The number of newly listed international corporate bonds has doubled versus the previous year. Including banking and government bonds, the Vienna Stock Exchange now lists over 3,500 debt securities. Almost 1,000 bonds were newly listed this year.
