Wiener Börse AG mourns the death of Richard Schenz, long-time CEO of OMV and long-standing capital market representative of the Austrian Government. With his trend-setting decisions as CEO of the ATX veteran, he played a crucial role in shaping Austria as a business location. During his time as capital market representative (2001-2012), he worked with great commitment to expand private pension provision and to strengthen confidence in the capital market. Under his leadership as Chairman of the Austrian Corporate Governance Working Group (2002-2012), a balanced and internationally presentable set of rules for listed companies – the Austrian Corporate Governance Kodex – was created. His entrepreneurial vision and his authentic and humorous manner made Richard Schenz a highly respected person in the business world.
