The Vienna Stock Exchange will be open on tomorrow's public holiday (Ascension Day). The entire infrastructure – from trading to settlement – will be available. After January 6 (Epiphany), this is the second Austrian public holiday this year on which trading is held on the Vienna Stock Exchange. In total, the Vienna Stock Exchange will offer five selected Austrian public holidays as additional trading days in 2021. The upcoming holiday trading days this year are:
- Th, 13 May 2021, Ascension Day
- Th, 3 June 2021, Corpus Christi Day
- Mo, 1 November 2021, All Saint's Day
- We, 8 December 2021, Immaculate Conception
The initiative to trade on selected Austrian holidays is well received and especially seized by international trading participants, from whom an average of around 84% of Vienna Stock Exchange’s equity turnover is generated.
