Holiday trading on 1 November 2021

On 1 November 2021, the Vienna Stock Exchange will once again provide stock exchange trading on a public holiday (All Saints' Day) and will be open for business. The entire infrastructure of the Austrian market place – from trading to settlement – will be available. After 6 January (Epiphany), 13 May (Ascension Day) and 3 June (Corpus Christi), this is already the fourth Austrian public holiday in 2021 on which the Vienna Stock Exchange will open its doors for trading. In total, the Vienna Stock Exchange offers five selected Austrian public holidays as additional trading days this year, the next one being 8 December (Immaculate Conception). 

The trading calendar for 2022 has already been set. The Vienna Stock Exchange will offer six selected Austrian public holidays as additional trading days. 

At around 84%, a large part of the trading volume of the Vienna Stock Exchange is generated by international trading participants. It is predominantly these members who also use the opportunity to trade on the additional trading days. Turnover on Austrian public holidays averages about three quarters of a regular trading day.
