On 25 November 2010, the management board of the exchange operating company, Wiener Börse AG, passed the resolution to enlarge the scope of membership of KBC Securities N.V. Brussels (Belgium) in the Vienna Stock Exchange in its function as a securities exchange effective as of 1 December 2010 to include the authorization to take part in trading in options and (financial) futures contracts through the electronic trading system EUREX®.
Therefore, the member, KBC Securities N.V, under the right of establishment and freedom to provide services shall be authorized effective as of 1 December 2010 in trading on the cash market
- to participate in securities trading through the electronic trading system XETRA®, and with respect to trading on the derivatives market
- to participate in trading in options and (financial) futures contracts through the electronic trading system EUREX®
Furthermore, as a participating clearing member (direct trading participant via a clearing agent) it shall take part in the clearing system for trades executed on the cash market and shall take part in the clearing system as a non-participating member for trades executed on the derivatives market.
Membership in the Vienna Stock Exchange as a securities exchange authorizes the member to take part in trading on the Third Market as an MTF that is operated by the exchange operating company, Wiener Börse AG.
