The Vienna Stock Exchange records an equity turnover of EUR 5.51 billion in December 2020. Compared to the previous year, this is a gain of 18.8% (December 2019: EUR 4.64 billion).
In the year 2020, the total trading volume at the leading trading platform for Austrian shares amounts to EUR 68.89 billion. This is a rise of 11.1 % compared to 2019 (Jan-Dec 2019: EUR 61.98 billion).
After the record rally of +24.3% in November, the Austrian leading index ATX closed on the last trading day on 30 December 2020 with a performance of -10.78 % (5,466.25 points, incl. dividends) and - 12.76 % (2,780.44 points, excl. dividends).
