The free float factor of <link www.wienerborse.at/en/market-data/shares-others/quote/ - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">Immofinanz AG</link> decreases from 0.9 to 0.8 following the entry of S Immo AG. For <link www.wienerborse.at/en/market-data/shares-others/quote/ - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">S Immo AG</link> the free float factor rises from 0.6 to 0.7 following Sparkassen Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group’s sale of a larger block of S Immo shares. At the fashion group <link www.wienerborse.at/en/market-data/shares-others/quote/ - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">Wolford AG</link>, the free float factor decreases from 0.4 to 0.3 after Fosun’s purchase of a major stake in the company. The free float factor expresses how many shares of a company are spread among the public and influences how strongly a share is weighted in the index. The changes will take effect on 18 June 2018. The next scheduled review of the composition of the ATX will take place on 4 September 2018.

The calculation of the ATX is based on a purely quantitative procedure, which is specified in detail in an index set of rules. According to the "Rules for the Austrian Indices of the Vienna Stock Exchange", companies may be included in to or removed from the ATX as part of the half-yearly review and adjustment (March and September). Decisions on new additions to the index are based the daily average turnover and the free float capitalization of companies. The Vienna Stock Exchange reviews the calculation parameters (number of shares, free float factors, representation factors) of the index on a quarterly basis. Once a month, the <link 84 - internal-link "Opens internal link in current window">"ATX Watchlist"</link> is published. Representatives of institutional investors, financial institutions that issue financial products on the indices, trading members of the Vienna Stock Exchange, academics advisors and the Vienna Stock Exchange contribute their know-how to the Index Committee, which approves the index rules. <link 3305 - internal-link "Opens internal link in current window">A list of the Committee members is available online</link>.
